Yes, we use Gentrol for roaches, flies etc. as well. We call it an IGR (Insect Growth Regulator). We use these in the puck form as you have and liquid form to mix with other chemicals. It basically prevents the normal growth of insects by effecting the growth hormones. Works very well for population control.
However, it is still a pesticide that goes airborne. When we apply it in one corner of a room it will effect bugs on the opposite side of the room. I would not use that in your humidor. I've seen what it does to bugs and would not want that anywhere near my cigars brother.
