Question About Fuente Sun Grown

I recently bought a box of Fuente Hemingway Signature cigars with the sungrown wrapper. I'm a sungrown wrapper lover & a Fuente Signature lover and thought this would be a nice cigar to have around.

My question is, how can you tell they have the sungrown wrapper BEFORE you open the box? It has no special markings imprinted on the box saying sungrown, just a magic marker written 'S.G.' on the cellophane that now makes them $40+ more for the box. This box seems to be a hair bigger that the varnished box of regular Signatures I have already and it's stained a little lighter in color.

I searched around this morning but didn't read anything like this question I'm asking...and I suck at the 'Search' thing anyway.

What do you guys think? Any guidance is greatly appreciated.

I have a couple of boxes at home and I swear they have a sungrown sticker on the side of them. I think.
 
That's right. I can picture it now, it's a black sticker with maybe a gold outline that says "Natural Sun Grown."

I've always had a beef with the term sungrown. If it's not Ct. shade, aren't the rest grown in the sun?

The ones I have have a blue (I think) sungrown sticker on the side of the box.

I was thinking this very same thing. What is supposed to be the difference between a sun grown wrapper and all the others that aren't CT shade?
 
The Hemy's and 858 have Stickers on the outside and MAY have one inside...but I don't recall!

The Chateau's also have them in the box.

Just called...the guy admitted it isn't Sungrown! He gave me an explanation of "that's what they do during inventory and it may have gotten mixed up." He's sending me a return sticker for them. That sure sucks as he's out of them now.

Sounds pretty shady to me. I hope they refund the shipping costs too.

UPDATE:

The guy at this shop made good on the deal and sent me a return label and offered me five 5 packs of Sig Sungrowns and an empty Signature box....along with a sincere apology. I graciously accepted and I'm taking the bogus box now to UPS.

Gary, in your opinion, do you think this was an honest mistake? Or did they get caught trying to pull a fast one?

Clint I think they got caught outright. Why would you mark up the outer wrapper like that?
