So I'm home alone for a week of vacation since my wife took the kids to my BIL's house in Austria... and I decided to let it all hang out!

Close to 15 years ago we had the great BSE scare over here in Europe.

Since then you could not buy a T-Bone steak anywhere in Germany (Steak yes, Steak with bones no).

The ban has finally been lifted. Its been years that I've been waiting on this, and it was truly orgasmic in nature!

Just a little bit of salt and butter and a small pad of butter for the steak.

My Spread... including:

Grilled Porterhouse/T-bone (the filet was borderline in size) grilled medium to rare.

Baby potatoes fried with homemade rosmarin and basil pesto and homemade garlic sour-cream sauce.

Ice cold Paulaner Oktoberfest beer.

Padrón 2000 cigar.

I hope your day ends up as great as mine!

Now I know you picked up that bone and gnawed on it! That looked amazing brother, thanks for sharing!

Nice steak Shawn, but it's a Porterhouse not a T-bone. I love being pedantic.;)

Doc.

Heh Doc, like I said, the filet portion was almost too small to call it a Porterhouse. lol I do know the difference.

*edit* And the thread title I did in your honor...

There goes Doc again, first he hits you with dit-dahs, then he calls you pedantic.Next thing ya know, he will give full instructions on how to correctly fill a lighter with butane. Love ya Doc, but glad I'm not getting a short arm inspection. :whistling:

Damn it. While you were having all this fun food and tasty meat, I was out busting my ass for miles in 100 degree temps. Damn you! :shakes tiny fist:

Congrats on being able to get steak with bone now. Going 15 years without that would be rough even for me and I don't like steak.

I'm thirsty for a Paulaner now. It's been awhile since I've tipped back one of those. Mmm.

Your meal looks absolutely amazing. Thanks for sharing.

That meal is why I love being a man because my wife only wants steak well done

Shawn, I'll give you my ClicknShip login so go ahead and box up that bone for the (soul) dog! :sign: :sign:
