Quad State Herf IV - Feb 7, 2009

I look forward to finding out who ends up with the ashtray.

I won your beautiful ashtray!!!!!

Words cannot describe the joy I felt when Charlie said "Green Ticket #950166"
I screamed loud and was overjoyed!
This is an amazing piece!
Thanks so much for donating it to Charlies Herf to benefit the Wounded Warriors Fund.

I'm so glad you guys liked it. Congratulations my friend. I hope it's enjoyed for generations. Sounds like you guys had a fantastic time. I smoked a couple good cigars with you guys last night here in the desert. I'm more than happy to donate again next time. I have the greatest respect for those that fight for our freedom. Specially those that have paid such a price. God Bless our troops. Next year I'll try to make a Humidor with a matching ashtray for the event. If you don't mind, could you send me a link that I can print the pic from. I'd like one for my photo album.

Ok, now that I am awake now and have some coffee in me I wanted to thank Charlie for such a great HERF. The food was great there and I met a bunch of great guys from CP there. I really can't wait till we all do this again, it was such an honor to meet you guys yesterday.

Till next time boys.

p.s. be sure to get those pics up you guys took.

What an awesome time Charlie, thanks again so much for putting this together. It was great seeing all the annual usuals that I don't get to see anywhere else. You continue to outdo yourself every year Charlie, thanks again!

Charlie ,
Thanks for putting this event together, Justin and I had a great time, all for a great cause.
I also like to thank you and all the others who showed my nephew what these events are about, this was his first but not his last!
The respect and camaraderie shown Justin made it all worth it.
Thank you from a very proud Uncle!
Frank

Stoopid bastard that I am I accidentally put down the Zikar red lighter I won in the raffle(kinda cool to be the 1st number called that never happens to me)......anyone pick it up for me??

If so let me know and we can work out an exchange....

Edit/P.S.- Charlie you surely throw one hell of a party!!!!!!!!! Kudos to you for showing new and old alike what Brotherhood is all about!

I met your nephew and it was an honor to buy him a drink, he is a fine young man.

ANOTHER GREAT QSH   . Charlie, you da' man!!!

Always a pleasure to meet new BOTLS. Siriusstoogie brought a BOTL with him, simmsboard, and simms had this HUGE travel humi stocked with an incredible selection that he was very generous with. Hope that we see both of you again next year, Joe and Joe.

It was a distinct honor to meet a famous luminary of the cigar board world, Lee. It was like old home week between him and Bill. It was fun hearing some of the stories of infamous a$$hats. Let's hope that we have another story telling session next year.

Diesel Grinch (Chris) was just over-the-top ridiculous will his gifts. Thanks very much brother. Very nice talking with Chris's guest John, a 20 year police officer.

Thanks to all the other brothers for a great time.

And to those who I've met in the past, thank you all. It truly was an amazing event! And the pictures are great. Hopefully, some of you will make it up to my store, just 2 exits away. Till then, my brothers and sisters!

How did the raffle turn out for the 'charity'?

-----------------

Bill...you remembered all that?

Charlie, it was nice to see you. simmsboard and I had great time and great fun. One suggestion for next year, instead of a live band....maybe a new QSH tradition: Story time with Uncle Bill :)

Oh and the D4 was over humidified and not a fake,

To dear friends, old and new-THANK YOU! There will be price to pay. :sign:

Charlie, thanks for a fantastic time. I appreciate all the hard work you did to put this on. It was nice to see the usual fellas, the ones I only seem to see once a year, and of course the new guys. It was quite a day to say the least. I think my eye balls sunk into the back of my head at least once on the way up from the power of Vince's turbo in his car. Thanks again Vince and it was a pleasure meeting you. Elliot decided to take the directions from me and it went downhill after that. I cut a monte especial into 8ths based on Joe's recommendation and offered the tiny little fuggers to everyone at the table, but no one bit. Joe, everytime we herf together from now on please allow me the privilege to cut your cigar. I was very excited to finish the night with a johnny-o from my bud Chris. I was about a quarter way into it as Rob pulled into the gas station on our way home. I went in to grab us a couple pops and set the cigar on top of the car, which Rob saw. After I grab the drinks and take a quick leak I see Rob walking in who says, "yo carps I pulled the car up". I walk out see that the cigar is still on the roof, but when I get up to the car I see a cigar that looks like someone put a firecracker in the end of it and blew it up. The cigar fell off the roof and then I think Rob ran it over 5 times. What a rough night of smoking

Thanks again Charlie

How did the raffle turn out for the 'charity'?

-----------------

Bill...you remembered all that?

Gary, between the charity donation and the raffles, we raised over $5600. We still are not done yet as the guys that donated the 125 gift packs from www.importcigars.com (2 pack of Oliva cigars) comitted to donate $5 from every box of Olivas sold between the month of Feb & March. That's not just from us but from all of thier internet sales of Olivas during those two months. I'm going to sit down with the folks from the Warrior Transition Unit and we'll discuss what the money will buy. We talked about a pool table for the Wounded Warrior's Day-Room which will last a long time and a lot of great Americans will get to use. I'll keep you updated as this moves along........ :)

Edited for correct grammar and spelling.
