The chicken has landed.
It arrived this morning while I was at the vet's with Wingo. She's begun leaking a bit so we wanted to rule out a UTI. No infection, so it seems like it's spay incontinence so she's going to undergo some estrogen replacement therapy to tighten up her urethra. Who has ever heard of such a thing? While doing the urinalysis, he discovered an abnormally high billirubin count so we did some blood work to check on her liver as well. The liver is fine which means it's a gall bladder duct blockage. 2 medicines twice daily and returning in a week for a checkup.
Anyway, the Tupperdor registered 78*F and 72% upon opening. My home is currently very nearly perfect humidor conditions, so I'll let things breathe a little and get it out on Monday. I can't get everything taken care of in time to hit the PO today before it closes in 15 minutes.
Wingo certainly earned her Grillerz this morning, and Grace loved it as well. They're both perplexed about the toy though--if it doesn't look like a small, furry animal, they don't know what to do with it. Greyhounds don't play fetch, they only play 'chase it until it stops moving then ignore it' so we'll see if I can get them interested in it somehow.
I'll post a picture or two in a bit--I just wanted to let everyone know that it arrived.
