Again, see the Natural for the back story on Bass Reeves and who he was.
1/3: Getting past the initial heavy spice and pepper that I have come to expect with maduros from the La Zona factory, the cigar mellows out into a very sweet, grain cerial. Or maybe it is a sweet fresh cut hay, or grass.
2/3: Medium in strength and body. Sweetness with a wheat component. I think wheat is inherently sweet so maybe it's just wheat that I'm getting.
3/3: Sweet wheat, but heavy on the wheat flavor.
Not bad. I was surprised by how approachable the strength was. I'd recommend it, if you want to try a maduro but have been off put by how I have been describing the maduros coming out of the La Zona factory with all of its heavy spice, pepper and charred meat notes.
