Please recommend a starter Port

On a side note...if you happen to see Madeira...that "might" be something you might want to check out also... its also one of the classic great fortified wines made only on the small island of Madeira...and its indestructable

Have some Madeira M'Dear

My wife picked me up some W.J.Graham’s today and told me I'd better sip it slow at those prices. LOL I'll be testing it out this weekend.

To add my 2 cents. In the $20-$25 range you can get GREAT Late Bottled Vintage or Crusted ports. If you buy the LBV version that says traditional or bottle matured it'll benefit from decanting and require filtering (as will the crusted). There are FILTERED LBVs out there that are pop and pour. I think these are way better options than the ruby ports, Bin 27, etc.

"...it's much finer than beer". Who said that, anyway. Firesign Theater?

I remember "Bear Whiz Beer" from the fine folks at FT.

"See that bear, lapping up that good ol' country water? Kinda makes a big, hairy guy like me thirsty. That's why I like to wrap my lips around the tall, sweaty, head of a bottle of good ol' country Bear Whiz Beer! Like my daddy said, 'Son, it's in the water! That's why it's yellow!' "
