I dont understand how, but the Benchmades are awesome for the price.
How does Pepin continue to shell out all these smokes in the small facility there in Miami, I know he has Nicaragua, but man, he is a man with a mission
I've heard that these cigars are decent and contain the same characteristic wrapper of the Tatuaje black. I guess for the price with free shipping it really isn't that bad.

I tried a few Casa Royale and comparing them to the Tat Blacks is crazy. Nothing like them at all. They were ok but there is much better Pepin stuff out there.
I also tried the benchmade and with the 2 I had, I clipped the end and all sorts of short filler came leaking out. Wasn't a great experience.
For moderate priced Pepin, I reach for a Tabacos Baez or an Old Henry.
A while back, Holt's ran a special with all the Holt's Pepin Blends. I bought two of them to get a decent idea of the smokes. The whole batch was very inconsistent in the flavor dept.
Some of the blends had decent flavor for a couple of sticks, with the remainders being horrid.
This particular belnd was horrible for every stick. But, I will eventually try them again.
I have smoked another one since I posted that review... and I didn't enjoy that one as much as the one I reviewed even. I ended up giving them away to friends. My friends liked them but they aren't regular cigar smokers. In the review I put them as almost equal to the San Cristobals but now I think they don't hold a candle to the San Cristobals.
That price is hard to pass up but I'd buy a single first to see what you think.
