Parrot Pass 2010 AKA One Particular Beedog Pass

Zip, nada, goose.

And for the love of all that's Texan, the Dixie Chicks, while cute, and Texan, are NOT "Texas Music." That's some o' that Trashville Disco, there.

A Pirate Looks at 40 and ZZ Top. Fandango is still one of my favorite albums of all time.

One of these is incorrect. :p

lol.

Well, I'm definitely not bored anymore, so that's a plus. Here's a hint that's bound to help: "Texas music" is a genre. Ranges from roots country with the Nashville sequins scraped off all the way to rock and roll with a little hillbilly on top.

So, "Texas music artist" means something different from "Texas musician." :)

~Boar

Ok, now I am stumped and not bored either! :)

How about A pirate looks at 40 and "Country Hillbilly Rock"

LOL . . . you were actually at least in the right ballpark the first time, bro. "Waylon and Willie and the boys" and "Outlaw Country" were part of the "Austin sound." That's how Texas music as a genre and particular altcountry sound got its start.

Like so much else, it all begins with Willie. :D

Pass has arrived in great condition. Rh is @ 71%. I spoke with Jay (starrdog) and will make the handoff Tuesday night. I will stay with the 2 approved P/Ts. Thanks Phil for including me.

It all begins with Willie....one show I have never gotten to do that I would love to is a Willie show! Would have to have the air moving backstage!

So are you looking for someone like George Jones?

Nope.

That's Classic Country, not Texas Music. I know, I know . . . confusing, is it not? So many nitpicky little fanboy distinctions!

BTW, I saw Willie live down here at an outdoor venue, Concrete Street Amphitheatre. With Billie Joe Shaver opening.

Legendary show.

~Boar

Is that a hint?

Billy Joe Shaver?

Not a huge fan of Waylon Jenings (sp?) but is also a "texas music"

But a fan non the less of Mr. Bojangles (JJ Walker). But to be honest, that is the only song I can tell you he sings.

i was lucky enough to get to see the highwaymen back when... now that was a show

Met up with Jay (starrdog) and made the handoff. Thanks again Phil.

I will be digging around the humi's to see what's what :whistling: I will put up some P/T at some point tonight and if all checks out good ;) ... my hope is to have this back out tomorrow in the mail!
