I was just over on Cigarbid.com and guys are bidding on this cigar at $33.00 and growing. Has anyone had this yet? Is it really worth the dough or are the retailers/producers just paying the supply and demand game? I love a good Padron but $33.00 is a bit much.
 
I found these to be really good, but I don't see paying $33 plus. Check around online and you may still find people who sell them out right for $28-$30.
 
I bought 5 of these for me and my groomsman and wound up smoking them almost exclusively on the first leg of my honeymoon. One of my favorite smokes. I paid about $30.00 each myself. The prices were about the same everywhere I went.
 
$30 is the correct price... is the cigar worth it? Completely depends on you.

Remember that quality of luxury goods never increases linearly with price. A $20 cigars is not twice as good as a $10 cigar... perhaps something along the lines of 10-20% better (depending on your tastes, of course). The same holds true for wine, watches, cars, etc.
 
I've only had the pleasure of smoking one, but in my 7-8 years of smoking cigars it's the only $30 cigar I've ever smoked that I actually thought was worth $30. Of course that's just my opinion though.
 
I think it falls into the category of one of those ones that every cigar person should have at least once. If you can get it for a fair price I'd say get it and enjoy it. Not one that you'll smoke every day of course but worth the experience.

Too often the price point dictates our tastes before we have even tasted.

I've bought two and smoked one. I really enjoyed it, but I wouldn't spend $30 on the cigar again. It's worth it to try once or twice, but certainly not with any regularity.
 
Like moki said luxury items aren't meant to be a value dollar for dollar. This is a great special occasion smoke when you want to live it up a little.
The problem is there just aren't enough special occasions. :sign:

Yes, they're definitely worth $30. That's not something I can generally afford to spend on a cigar, but believe me, I never once regretted, not for a single puff, spending what I did on these. Fantastic cigar.

Definetly an amazing cigar for special events. There is no reason to ever pay above MSRP especially for Padrons. Padron sells their cigars directly at MSRP. Just call them.

I agree completely. I can't decide if I like the maduro or the natural wrappers best; both are exquisite..... :love:
 
I've held these in my hands several times and have ultimately put them back. I can easily justify a cigar costing in the $3-$10 range because the hour or so of uninterupted sensory pleasure is worth it in my book. I have had a couple of 1926 Series at around the $20 point and they have been amazing on several special occasions. I have a special EL set aside for the first day my wife's new business is open and aside from that, I can't think of a special occasion in my life that will call for the 80th outside of my 8 year old daughter's wedding (hopefully in 30 years or so :sign: ). Then again, maybe I should just get it over with to say I did it. Decisions, decisions........

I thought the same thing, but one of the fine botl here told me to smoke it on a monday or wendsday. So I did, best monday ever

Wow, it always amazes me how some guys will hold onto a stick until it becomes useless to smoke. It's just another cigar, celebrate your life, smoke the damn thing.
Tomorrow's another day, you will acquire another so called, special occasion smoke. Celebrate your kids life with that one.

I have to agree with Brian, cigars are meant to be enjoyed on any occasion. Just waking up and seeing your child's face is a good enough reason.
