Padrón 40th Anniversary cigar

Alright Moki, I guess when I go over to Padron I won't get that humi for you then. ???

Assuming the price is reasonable, I'm in.

I find it odd that people are taking issue with using the '26 blend. Everyone knows it's a great blend. I'm really looking forward to trying a '26 torpedo.

Also, I think 40 deserves a nice celebration, but it's not nearly as big as the 50yr, 75yr or 100yr etc. mark. If they unveiled some 10yr aged blend in the 40yr celebration, they'd have to top themselves in the 50. While I wouldn't mind seeing that :D, I can understand why they aren't busting out something huge this year.

Count me in!

bah -- 400 humidors with 40 cigars each... for just another shape of the 1926s? I can't get excited about this one... I mean I'm sure they are good, but...
I bet you bite the bullet regardless!
Sigh...

I'm going to visit the local retailer that is in good with Padron (the place that had the pre release 6000s) tomorrow and see what the prospects are on ordering a box of these.

I'm told they aren't even taking orders for them yet -- some kind of delay.

Mental note.. They are closed on Sundays you idiot! Of course I'm well aware of this, but didn't think of it until I was pulling on the locked door. ???

Random side note.. They also happen to be accross the street from the Citicorp building named as one of the likely terrorist targets. Machine gun toting cops in full body armor are in full effect. Fun.

I posted this in my Padron Anni reference thread also, but just in case you missed it....

Rumored from RTDA 2004 to be going for $65.00 / $2600.00 (40)

More fun than that ... they just arrested a neighbor of mine a few days ago .... seems he and a friend had plans to blow up the Verrazanno Bridge, all 3 Police Precincts here on Staten Island, and other selected downtown NY sites. And crossing the Verrazano into Brooklyn has new security as well.

Now I really need a cigar with a good kick! :sneaky:

:0 Is that your box? That cigar box is beautiful though!

$65 for one cigar...Give me a break

Sadly no, it's not mine! The pictures were taken by individuals who attended the RTDA 2004 convention.

( Note the art on each humi is unique... )

No confirmation on pricing--the $65.00 is strictly rumor at this point!

So humor me. If the blend is the same what in the Sam Hell is the big f'in deal? The fancy new label? Yip-freakin'-ee!

no new label just a new second band even! Although the humidor does look quite nice, still not worth the cash, and fellows I am a big Padron fan or slut so to speak.
