...is there anyone that absolutely can't make the 9th? Seems that our distant members like that one...?? I realize the 16th is "leading" but several folks have said "whatever works"....??

Have to double check that with Swissy when he gets off the boat....

9th could work for me- I still need to find out when our family is going at 'assign' me a date for visiting a sickly Aunt. We're all taking turns staying with her and I said I'd be up for Sept. sometime. I'll see if I can make sure it's NOT the 9th weekend.

OK guys, the 9th and the 16th are both in the running. CC said he "might" make it on the 9th as the only day that would work for him, Swissy is going to check his schedule, and I haven't heard any other "no go's" from the bunch.

For the sake of bottoming out, let's just say.....it's the 9th. If (still an if) it was the 9th, who would be able to make it?

Once we get the date nailed down, I'll go to work on getting you guys some lodging info and we can decide on the food.

We could do a "BYO grill" lunch / dinner with me providing the grill and some sides and the soft drinks, or we could go out to eat at one of several great places in PDX. Also, Cascade Cigar is one of the better B&M's in town (Portland), and they have a nice lounge attached where we could herf and have some carbonated adult beverages, if anyone's interested in a little "field trip".

Up to the group - it all sounds like fun to me.

Seems like that's the consensus and feels like it'll work for the majority...so...unless someone says otherwise tonight, let's call it for the 9th of September.

Sometime tomorrow, I'll start a herf planning thread where you guys can "commit" to coming down and I'll start a list of likely attendees. I'll get some ideas together for food and stuff to do, find some local places for you guys to stay (good ones within a short drive), and we can get a day planned..!!
