Outlaw Padron Event May 16

Alright, I'm out, for sure.

Not so much about who I'm breifing anymore, whether its the one star are two star. I'm a candidate for an outstanding job opportunity in the near future and one of the officers on the selection board will be present at that breif. It's a great opportunity to showcase myself a bit and get some face to face time afterwards. It literally could lock me in for the job I've been waiting for.

So I'm definitely out on this one this year fellas. My apologies, there's nothing I was looking forward to more this year than the Padron event. But I have to do what I have to do.

Looks like I'll be in town that weekend, but for work not fun. Not sure how much working I'll be doing so I may or may not be able to stop by. I was in town for the Fuente event but had to work most of the day. My wife and I did stop by the Outlaw later in the afternoon when the party was winding down. We managed to score a free beer and Granite City Mug Club card. We sat outside and smoked a cigar. We even managed to see just a bit of sunshine that day.

It would be fun to meet you guys at Jack Stacks, but I don't think I can get out of work early and I'm at least an hour from downtown. We are probably working the weekend too, but I won't know for sure until it gets closer.

Sounds like big fun though. I think I'm going to start making noises about having some "free" time on Saturday.....

No idea if I will be in town. If I have a doctor's appointment as a follow up by then, I will do my best to stop in. But as of right now, it still looks like a no-go for me. Even if I can make it, I still won't be able to smoke a cigar.

Wife and daughter will be driving out with me, but she'll "be damned" if she is going to spend 7 hours with me smoking cigars. Who is bringing wives? She wants to gang up and hit the zoo, or the war museum, shopping, etc.

Hold the phone. My boss just called and said yes, he needs me to brief on Friday...but the brief starts at 0800. So it'll probably be done by 1200. Then, he gave me Saturday off, which was suppose to be another brief, so that I could hit the road and make the event if I choose.

Looks like I may just make it after all. More to follow.

I'm working an angle to get the kids watched and my wife the weekend with one of her friends in Mpls quilting, which would give me nothing better to do than jump on the motorcycle and make the road trip down to KC.

It will be great if you can make it. I will be coming in from Boston but I know there will be a caravan of the local MPLS crew leaving very early Friday. But then again riding your bike will be fun.
