I agree Joe. I don't want to see Alan, Clint, or anyone else have to miss this (well, maybe Clint). If we can decide on a weekend in April/May/June that works to get the most guys into KC, I'm glad to do the leg work on this end to organize whatever we do.
 
Not April: Taxes, wedding anni. May works, and so does June IIRC.

Brent, when is that triathlon you guys put on KC. That would also be a dealbreaker.
 
For me, as long as it doesn't fall on a holiday, I should be able to work it out. I'm about to hit the rack, so I'm not going to study the calendar right now, but I'll take a look at it tomorrow.

Shall this planning go to PM or a separate thread in the Herf Forum? I don't want to take anymore attention from the Outlaw event and the people that will be attending. It's not fair to them to rain on the parade.

Last year it was in late May. I can't yet find where they've set a date for this year.

For me personally, one of the two open weekends in May would be best, but I can make whatever work.
 
Alright, I'm going to bump this and see if we can come up with a consensus of what is happening and when.

The actual Padron event is scheduled for May 7, which is also Mother's Day weekend. I know this poses a problem for many.

The other date that has been suggested is a non-event weekend of May 20-21.

So, are some of you still planning to come into town on the 7th to attend the actual event? If so who and how many?

If not, do we all want to plan something for the weekend of the 20-21st? There is no event that day, and I also believe that there may be some sort of an Outlaw cigar cruise that weekend, so most likely the stores are going to be kinda empty so we will have them to ourselves.

Obviously I'm available on either/or both dates, but I know some guys are starting to plan their trips and I want to see if we can get a firm date. Personally I like the idea of the 20-21st because we can get more guys into town without it being Mother's Day. And as much as I enjoy being around Jorge, I much prefer hanging out with all the guys.
 
I cannot do the 7th. :(

I would be down for the 20-21 for sure.
 
I'm in Alan's boat. I have "Marriage Points" accrued but not enough for that. The later date would work just fine for me. We can post what cigars we smoke and laugh at the fools who were recently in Vegas.
 
I should be able to make the later date. I'd hate to miss an opportunity to bomb Clint.
 
I don't see why Mother's day weekend would be a problem for the MN crew. For years the MN fishing opener traditionally has been that weekend.
 
First off, I'd say make a new thread. This one is old, the date in the original post if wrong, and the whole thing is confusing to folks who don't read the whole thing and miss the difference between the actual Padron event and the possibility of a CP get together at another time.

Having said that, I'll be there for the actual Padron event. I'll be missing Mother's Day AND my wife's birthday so unless you other fellas have a child getting married or something like that, sack up and get your asses down to KC on the 7th :p

I plan to be there from May 6th to the 9th. Will be driving from Winnipeg and leave on the 5th. Will have just enough time to get some beauty rest.

If you're looking for beauty rest, you may want to leave March 5th.
 
For Padron? No. Mother's Day weekend just isn't happening. I'm still looking into the other weekend they're talking about, though.

I'll be there, as well. I may come earlier than usual and leave earlier, as I plan to drive on my own this year (to get back to That Woman©). Perhaps I'll get in on Thursday. If there are any big gay piles being arranged, obviously pencil me in.
 
Oh, I know they've "banned" the Joose, but I've managed to find a source for some good ole fashioned pre-ban FourLoco. I know it's a concern, so don't you fret to much :p . See you guys all of too soon :cool:
 
I wanted to drive down for this event after talking to Ketchtwenty2 but now after reading this discussion it seems like know one is going? Should I change my plans to go. If not anyone know of good place to get a room that isnt super expensive.
