Opus X FOUND!

Thanks for the Info. I am learning by the min. I had no idea that Opus X came in tins.

You might find better prices somewhere, but where? Part of this nasty hunt is timing. You just need to be in the right place at the right time. That's proven difficult for many of us here. Based on my experiences, I'd drop $60 on these tins without a second thought. That's better then what I could do here in CA.

THANK YOU Geoff. Nothing against anybody who says these tins are overpriced, but sometimes I scratch my head at most of the folks on here who complain about pricing over MSRP. $54 bucks for a tin?? That's pretty good considering I paid $80 or so for mine. And like Geoff said: Yes, there are better prices for these tins, but hello!! WHERE?? Here's the Opus right now, and yes I'd dump $54 bucks on these tins without a second thought.

It's like a thread I found here on Anejo 77's from 08. Some folks were upset that the B&M wasn't offering them at $11 or so a stick, or near MSRP or whatever. That's fine, yes, go ahead and complain that it's above MSRP etc. etc., you can find better prices somewhere else. Again: WHERE? Sometimes we're spoiled here at CP, in my opinion. I understand the emphasis on paying MSRP or close to for cigars, I'm not knocking it, but when the HTF is THERE and REASONABLE, why complain?? I just don't get it.

/end rant.

Not spoiled...cheap old bastids! ;)

These cigars are HTF....if you want them when you want them.
These cigars also come up for sale on the boards, and privately, more often than they come out!

I pay more than MSRP on very few things...for a number of reasons.
The main reason to NOT pay over MSRP is support of gougers/profiteers.

This has been discussed many times.
MOST retailers with Fuente account will sell at a reasonable prices(at, near or even below MSRP).
Other retailers buy from them and mark up to make a dollar...heck, instead of this guy going in and buying them ONLY to mark up and sell....I want to buy them.
If I support buying from a guy who marks up...I just proliferate the trend.

Funny you should ask... this came up just today... which is pretty decent. It happens. :)

I can't say I have even seen any Opus X in my local B&M. I would love to give on a try

I sell my opus for $1000.00ea.

Mine are all from 1992. Cause that's what it says on the box!

LOL Mark I actually had that discussion with a vendor over the summer. I tried to explain to him about the seeds of hope etc. and he just said "No, you have no idea what you are talking about. These Opus are from 1992 and if you want the box of #4's you will pay $1800."
