So, day after day, I've got more and more cigars and soon (earlier than I thought) free space in my 'box' will end.
I have one solution - finally I have to buy a humi.

I went to the cigar shop today, and I found nice one for me for about 115$ (In online shop it was about 100$)
I thought "Hmmm... 115$ for a humi, which I can buy in US for about 40-50$? Naaah!"

So, I decided to buy it in US and my budget is about 70$ + 30$ shiping.

My first target was CP Shop, where I found MILANO model for 60$
Then I went to Cigarmony.com, where I found this one it looks the same, and is even for 55$
Then I went to CheapHumidors.com, where I found this one for 50$ :D

Finally I chose Milano from CheapHumidor with humifiding upgrade.
HUMI-CARE Crystal Gel or maybe DryMistat HumidiTube you think is better?

I'd like to buy The Puck, but the shiping costs from 2 shops will kill me ...buuuut if those 2 solutions sucks I'll consider The Puck.

Is my choice ok, or maybe You have some better option? Another trusted shop? Another humi with humidification beads included? Any ideas?

:)

Why not buy the humi and the puck from one vendor and save on the psotage.

Sometimes you just gotta go with a tad extra cash to get the quality and service you can trust.

I'd go with the humi and puck combo from Cigarmony.

But if you want more advice I'll tell you this.......it's not big enough. :)

Take my word on this one.

Um... I dont know, I didnt see it. You know, it was very late night and I was tired ;)

You mean this 'Milano'? its not big? Its said 70-100 cigars, thats why I think it migt be ok for me :)

Ps. I get first answer about shiping cost... He wrote it was 187$ to Asia, so I think to Poland I'll pay not less than 140$-150$ :/

Ok... I'm waiting for another answers... :whistling:

I think Brickhouse was eluding to the fact that the hobby is hard to control and that you will fill that new humi in no time and need another. It is always recommended to buy bigger than you need. I will also suggest the puck or similar beads that can add and remove humidity instead of just add it like that gel(unsure if the Drymistat can or not). Good Luck!

Alright, i get the answer from Cigarmony:

"My best guess would be about $22 for Air Parcel (4-10 days) and $30
for Global Priority (4-6 days)"

So it looks like I'll buy there.
Any better option up to 70$ then this Humi + The Puck 100 ?

:)

yep, I understand, dont know why I wrote "too big" when I was thinking about "too small" :p

I think that 75-100 will be ok for some time for me. :)

And about The Puck, Marcos thanks for info about this gel, didnt know it works only one way.

Michal,

I'd really try to go larger than 75-100, it's not a very big humidor.

And, you might want to consider a coolerdor instead since you can buy the coolers in Poland and would just need to worry about shipment on the beads (far less) - it'll also give you a lot more storage.

No, I think I'll stay with up to 100 sticks humi, because:
- those bigger ones (more than 100) are about 2 times more expensive
- they would not fit the place where I'm going to keep it
- having a smaller one will stop me from spending to much money for cigars ;)
- in my closest future I think I'll not purchase whole boxes of cigars, so 75-100 will be ok :)

And coolerdor? its my faaar faaar future :)

Listen to what these good people are telling you ;)

Ok Guys, I'll tell You about one more reason why I'm buying this one.

If I'll spend more then 100$ for my new hobby, my fiancee will kill me! And I'm not kidding... :whistling:

ps. Ofcourse I've already spend about 50$ for sticks :whistling:

But you can get set up with a coolidor for $50 and then spend another $50 on cigars. From personal experience, the size of your humi will not control your spending, at least not for very long. I went your route and with in 9 months had a coolidor and two boxes of my favorite sticks. I'd recommend the coolidor, beads and in your case, some ISOM's. Besides, the coolidor is good camouflage, it will blend right into the other junk you have in the closet.

PS- do you both have joint life insurance? if not, then there really is no point in her killing you until after your wed and she can then collect. Didn't mean to keep you up and night, just looking at it from a legal perspective.

And, in Poland, the wife is only entitled to a quarter of the husband's worth :).

Thanks for advice, but humi is already on its way :whistling:

And one more think about coolidor.
Its even to big thing for our small flat. Last time we had problem with finding place for emty shoes box! :0

nice legal, profitable and reasonable perspective ;)

No, I dont think so :)
Its like everywhere - fifty fifty :)

But recently young marriages are signing some kind of "notarial act" which says "what is mine now, will be mine even after divorce"

At least with a coolerdor you can hide it with your camping equipment and your fiancee will never know about your stash!
