Alright I know that I'm also a noob, but what is up with this. I saw this response in the first two topics I read today and decided to check him out. . .

No new topics started, just posts and all of them are this:

"Discipline is the soul of an army. It makes small numbers formidable; procures success to the weak, and esteem to all."

"Never tell people how to do things. Tell them what to do and they will surprise you with their ingenuity."

In big red letters, checked the profile and no information at all!

Just wondering. . .

I've spoken with the "ringleaders" and they had nothing to do with the new account. Someone from their camp went rouge and started it....

Isn't rouge what a lady puts on her face with all the other makeup? Say- you can't have two users with one ip addy eh? makes sense

Nope, I find it all terribly amusing. I hope these lads are able to stay incognito. I'm certain every target has be justifiably flattered.
 
I'm also having fun seeing all this unfold. If these guys keep it up and the bribes don't get to high I think they have a good chance of staying in the shadows....
 
I hope the O.L.D.F.A.R.T. gets off with a stern warning. This has been a blast to watch unfold over the past couple of days. I have been smoking for a number of years. I can't help but think of all the great people I could have met years ago had I just found this place sooner.

I hope nobody thought my drab response was discouraging the bombers, who are indeed providing great entertainment and showing the spirit of the board. I was just saying whoever it is (who has already been identified as NOT one of the bombers) that is making gimmick accounts better rethink the value as it hasn't gone over well in the past.

I dunno insight, to me this is like Secret Santa. Everyone who's involved in Secret Santa essentially does the same thing (posts under a different screen name to have fun) and when there's no harm done then I don't see a problem.

It would be a sad day if someone who was only trying to do good and was having fun would be "banned" because this.
 
I agree, no harm no foul, as long as the next time it happens we treat it in a similar fashion.

For what its worth..... while multple accounts are frowned upon there should be no reason for anyone to think the intent of this individual was anything other than in the spirit of some light hearted ribbing. The multiple account rule was put in place to prevent trolling which this was not.

Personally I enjoyed his quotes and found them very appropriate. Even the strongest oak tree bends with the wind.

Yeah, it's been fun. I don't see how I qualified for Old Fart, but I appreciate the thought and the execution. I sure hope there's no banning as a result of this.
