New York City Last Minute Herf Thurs 4/06

So obviously this turned into a super micro herf!
The BOTL I tried to get this thing together for was AWOL!
But I will recap the evening for all you slackers who didn't make it :p .
Went to Lexington Bar and Books. Got slightly hassled because of my attire. Non-flustered I grabbed a table and unwrapped an AF Cuban Beli SG. I sparked that bad boy up and ordered a Mortlach 1990 single malt to accompany. The combination was thoroughly enjoyable. I then ordered a Craggamore from 1993. Eventually slevy007 joined me. I was a bit worried about the hassle he would get for attire but he slipped in unnoticed somehow as I was nubbing my SG. I decided to spark up a PSP2. Wow, was it wonderful. We decided the bar was too stuffy and we headed off to The Cigar Inn after Steve changed his pants :whistling: . Merrily nubbing my PSP2 on the way there we had a brisk walk over. I was sad to leave the stuffy but comfortable atmosphere of the cigar bar, it was classy but it was nice to be in a bar where YOU COULD FRIGGIN SMOKE!
Upon entering the B&M I picked up a JdN Antano but decided to spark a PSD4 instead. We settled into high back leather chairs and relaxed. The guys there were very friedly and we talked about sport, cigars and travel. The PSD4 wasn't hitting as well as it could have but (go figure) I beared it out to the nub! I didn't have many small cigars with me so I sparked a AF Signature natural. It was decent but after the powerhouse line up of stoges i already had... It wasn't really in the same league. We were packing up to catch our trains when we chatted up this guy Scott(not an employee  ). He showed us the treasures in the humi and his own stash. I decided to pick up a Padron 6000 maduro to smoke. I put it on the counter and Scott grabbed it through down some extra cash and defrayed the cost of an Ashton Enchantment! So I smoked that bad boy. Talked with Scott a bunch and Billy (owner or manager), this 23 year old kid Emme and John the Cop. A great time was had!
Too bad somebody got lost :sign: !

Yeah, I definetly don't like being somewhat dressed up when smoking... as you that know me are aware :p . Took a change of clothes (track pants and a t-shirt.. now that's smoking attire  )
Anyway, it was a pretty damn good time. The Cigar Inn was pretty nice place.. nice and cozy. The prices were obviously high... it is the city.
Adding the VSG Enchantment story... I cut a AB Authentic Corojo Robusto.. then Scott does the same thing for me. Really nice guy, Indeed!! :D

I feel like a damn stooge. Something as "simple" as a subway cost me a good time. Glad you guys had a good time. Next time (I hope there is one) more cash and a cab ride are in order.
