I just talked to Tony (OpusXKC) and decided to go with Thursday April 6th at 6:30-7:00 pm.
I am not super-familiar with smoking in the city so Lexington Bar and Books (Lexington & 73rd)looks like a good place for some of us to get together for a stick and figure out a plan from there.
Let's get a head count going... Clearly I am in!
If anybody has a problem with the date or location I am more then willing to accept any helpful suggestions!

Jeff (Shibumi) and Steve (slevy007) you in? :sign:

I'm looking forward to meeting a Kansas City BOTL! I got a wishlist smoke for you brother!

Love to make it brother but I might be headin' down to Delaware for business Thursday afternoon and then coming back up here to NY Friday evening...... :)

I would love to be there, but I have to work till 6 out on long island. By the time I got home to shower, change and get to the city, you guys would be all smoked out. :p Damn work!!

Another time I guess.

I'd love to make it; unfortunately, Thursday doesn't work for me. If you guys decide on another/extra date, I'll be available.

FYI Lex Bar and Books has a dress code.
Collared shirts, no sneakers, no jeans.
If this stuffiness presents a problem we will pack it up for the Cigar Inn around the corner on 71 St & 1 Ave.

If you could go to cigar stores/events in a bath rob.... there is a definite chance that would be my attire of choice.

Everything sounds good to me. According to Google looks like I am in for a 3 mile walk either way  . Should be a good time, just have to make sure I make it back to the hotel in one piece.

EDIT: Made sure to wear a collared shirt and non-sneaker shoes. Hopefully I will make it out of work right at 6 so I can make it around 7. Keep an eye out fellas, (brown pants, green and black sweater w/blue collared shirt, light brown leather coat, brown CAO CX2 hat). See you there!

Hey maybe I just want to see some of the city on the way :p . Plus I couldn't figure out the train map/scheule/line thingy for the life of me.

Tony sorry can't make it as I'm swamped at work. Serves me right for not coming in yesterday!

Subways are easy to use, it' NYc where is your sense of adventure?

Oh c'mon! We figured it out when we went on a class trip in 9th grade :p
The teacher's were a little rattled when they found out we'de been riding the subways for a couple of hours. :sign:

He has direction on how to use the NYC transit system!

If it's near a station I can get you there ;)

This is the same guy who didn't bother to memorize street names in Kansas City! C'mon Tony, what's NY without a ride on the subway!

(just givin' you shit man!)

Ok so I tried to make it. I REALY tried. I followed the directions I recieved in regards to the subway. Well instead of making it up to Lex B&B, I got on the wrong train. I got on the wrong train not once, not twice, but thrice! After I finally gave up and got up to the street I was somewhere in the south end near the BrooklynBridge!

Now that I was totally lost I just started walking in a effort to find something I could use as a reference. That quickly failed. So I turned to my Boy Scout skills. I used the setting sun to determing north and just started hoofing it.

After a 45 minute jaunt at high speed I some how made it back to my hotel, tired but alive  .

I just knew this would happen. I am not a real fan of big cities, and I always get lost. Oh well, I must say even after this I still like NYC.

Sorry I couldn't meet up with you guys. Thanks for all the help, hospitality and understanding. Maybe next time I will have a better idea of what is going on. Oh, and I won't take the subway, I'll just pay for a cab  .

EDIT: as AVB pointed out it is Broklyn not Brookland (I'm an idiot  )

Instead of being cheap, you should have just taken the cab there in the first place. :p

I think he should have asked Mr. Douglas or Arnold for directions before he left. ;)
