Looking good. I'm guessing it doesn't have the plastic smell as you're already filling it up? It took me about a week to get rid of that smell.

I'm running 66. During the summer the house might get to 78, but right now the temps are good. Did not smell any plastic order.

Shouldn't have any trouble holding 12 degrees below ambient when it gets hotter. I leave my Whynter where it holds 65 when the house is at 78.
 
My whynter, which will be four years old in July, defaults to 50 degrees when AC power is lost. Kind of a pain, seems to screw up RH  and take a while to restabilize at 65/65.
 
My thermostat on the whynter is acting a bit flaky, so I'm planning to order

Should solve the flaky tsat and power loss default at the same time.
 
Not sure what the Newaire defaults to, just unplug it from the outlet then plug it back in and that will be the default. Do wait till the thermostat is satisfied and the unit is not in full operation when you unplug.

Good luck with it.  I went through 2 Vinotemps and now on my 2nd (or 3rd, lost count) NewAir. I'm thinking the thermoelectric bones just can't deal with the harsh winters, then brutal summers, here in Philly lately, because about once every year, they stop working. Not sure what I'm going to do once we start hitting 95 degree temps.  Closeout sale maybe?

Not trying to hijack this thread, but I purchased the Haire fridge at sams. I have a hard time getting my drink's cold enough in it. It has an adjustable thermo, but no temp reading anywhere. I wonder if this would work the same. If I turn the temp all the way up, it's not cold in the fridge, at least to my touch.
 
Just curious if anyone has tried it before.

I left mines unplugged during the whole winter and temps remained around 70 degree which was fine with me. Let's see how the summer goes.
