New wineador for hubby from a non-cigar smoker

You'll probably be alright, if you stop trying to be funny and show a little respect for those who came before you. Otherwise, I'm afraid you'll just be another 90 day wonder.

Doc, if anything I've said seems brusque or disrespectful towards you I apologize, that was not my intention. And the idea that you might be impressed by anything a noob has to say makes me grin something fierce.  :D

While I'm at it, I may as well apologize to the forum for being a noob asking a self consciously noob question in a joking manner. I guess that could be pretty annoying, and that wasn't my intention. You all probably get so flooded with the same dumb questions that it is no longer a joking matter.

Man, some of these guys are a little touchy.

Juanote, Cello on, cello off is almost always a personal choice. Weather it be a humidor, cooler, fridge or whatever else you use. I, personally, take the cello off all my cigars. I just don't like it. I think my cigars humidify better and taste better without it.

From most of the cigar masters I've spoken with, they tell me they put cello on cigars simply to protect them during shipping in the box, or, so you can put a couple in your shirt pocket with out worrying about damaged wrappers.

Try taking some of the cello off a few to see which you enjoy.

Thanks for your kind reply smokem,

Thanks for your kind reply smokem, this is what I was concerned about.

I've been researching the issues with a wineador for a while, and I noticed that they seem to be less stable and uniform in terms of RH than most other solutions, especially with shelving installed. If I wasn't concerned about the ambient temperature of my home (my wife lets it get up to 75 degrees or so in our main living areas during the summer, where my humidor is located) that would probably be enough to keep me away from them, since I can't be there every day to watch things. I live in a very hot and humid climate so I am probably going to face an ongoing battle with condensation etc. I've already lost a premium cigar I was aging to beetle larvae (thank God they hadn't yet emerged as beetles when I discovered the problem), so I'm kind of in a pickle. Probably the only thing that will work for me is going to be automatic humidification combined with supplemental fans and a large quantity of beads. Anyway, thanks for taking the time to help out.

Have to give New Air two thumbs up for customer service & satisfaction.  New wine cooler arrived yesterday and works perfectly.  Have cleaned it and letting it air out before the seasoning & filling begins

Can't wait to see the pictures. From another husband who has a wife who completely supports his passion........ I'm sure this means more to your husband than you'll ever know.
