The "Exclusivo Verocu" introduced by Pete Johnson for the Havana VI line is the newest cigar by Tatuaje.
This new Limiteda blend cigar from Havana Cellars is made in Nicaragua at the "Tabacalera Cubaña" factory, supervised by Don "Pepin" Garcia.

"This blend will have a Cafe Rosado Oscuro wrapper (as opposed to the Cafe Rosado in the Havana VI classic line) and we are adding Ligero tobacco to the blend to give the cigar a more robust taste. Basically, its a Havana VI on steroids" -Pete Johnson

For its initial introduction to North America, these Puro Nicaraguan cigars will be available in two shapes. Each shape will be made for specific individual regional markets within the U.S.

The "Exclusivo Lado Occidental, Verocu No. 1" (West Coast release, Size: 6 1/4 x 52), and "Exclusivo Zona Del Este, Verocu No.2" (East Coast release, Size: 5 ½ x 54).

I love Tat's, and that looks wonderful, but I've got to say the Havana VI line never really did anything for me. Maybe not enough oomph...??

...no accounting for personal taste, I guess.... :p

Cheers - B.B.S.

Thats why I am not a big fan of the current red line, but this is going to be the Oscuro Rosado, I might assume that it would be the difference between the Noella and the Noella Reserve.

I had heard that they were releasing them sometime this year. They look very tasty! Wonder the price ???

I think they will be released in June / July and they will be $10 per, I think in cabs of 50.

I actually like the VI better, for some reason. Hopefully I can get a box when they come out.

You guys are nuts, I love the red line. And a little more oooomph. Sounds like great news. Thanks for sharing.

Hmm regional releases a la Habanos? I can't wait to try them, thanks for sharing that pic it looks great.

...that with a bit more ligero might make this a very tasty smoke indeed. From these guys, they're always worth a try.....

Thanks again, Tim - B.B.S.

Hmm, so a Havana VI on steroids will make it a what? A Tatuaje Miami?

I gotta say, that "Edicion Regional" style secondary band has, for me, crossed that line between homage and copycat.

Wilkey

I agree. I just hope he doesn't also copy the pricing scheme.

Interesting...............you called it just as I saw it. As for the lack of oomph......this blend is that way for a reason. I believe Mr. Johnson(HUH HUH I said Johnson) was trying to get the flavor of the Tatuaje original without all the kick. I personally enjoy both lines and each has it's time and place in my repertoire of smokes.

We gave Tatuaje a call this morning about the cigars and here's the scoop: they're sitting in Nicaragua aging a bit more and waiting on boxes. I didn't get any word on the price of them (they're only going to be available to retailers as part of a package w/other cigars), but they are going to be in boxes of 50. If I had to guess, I think Tim is pretty spot on with a price of $10.

There's actually no ligero in the Havana VI line. There is ligero in these regional releases (which are the same blends, just different vitolas), given them a bit more power.

You're right Moki - my reply was poorly worded. Substitute "the inclusion of" for "a bit more" and you'll get what I was trying to say.....B.B.S.

I have to say I agree Wilkey. The RC184 packaging (see Boli Gold Medal) was acceptable, but this is a little bit much. But I'll still try them...
