It took a while to get and set up, but I finally have my new "made to order" cabinet from http://wineadors.com.
Manufacturer and shipping time was a bit slower then I expected, ordered Feb 6th, delivered April 30th. As far as cabinet quality and construction, I feel the construction is very solid and made from good quality materials. I was not expecting an expensive piece of furniture, but something more "functional", you can tell that from his website pictures. I think his wood working skills are solid, but I feel he's not very detailed in the finishing department yet. I wanted a well built functional cabinet, and that's what I got. If I wanted a pretty piece of furniture also, then I knew I would have to pay 4 times as much. The door is held closed with magnetic latches and there is a very soft foamy seal material all around that seams to work very well. I opted for 3 drawers and one shelf arraignment. This is because at this time I don't buy many boxes but mostly 5ers, small quantities of many different cigars so I can experiment. In the future if I decide I don't need as many drawers I know I can change the layout.
I spent about a week airing it out to get rid of the finishing smells. There was a small edge of finish on the lip of the door and I didn't want that to contaminate the interior of the cabinet. I then spent another 2-3 weeks seasoning it before the final set up and storing cigars.
For humidity I'm using 2 lbs of beads in two wire baskets for optimal air flow and surface contact, located in the bottom of the cabinet. I installed two 120mm computer fans between the baskets on rubber offsets under the bottom shelf that blow upward. The fans are powered by an old laptop power supply and cheap $10 timer that runs them for 5 minutes every 2 hours.
I have a hygrometer on each shelf to monitor the distribution of humidity and so far is only about 2% difference between top and bottom. I also have one external Hygrometer with a remote probe so I can monitor without opening the door. Don't take the readings in the pictures as actual, those Caliber IV are really fast acting and change within seconds of opening the door.

Printer on the top of the cabinet, external Hygrometer on the top right, and a temporary wedge on the bottom right of the cabinet. Found out my floor was not level in the corner and had to wedge up the corner of the cabinet, crappy production home construction quality, or should I say lack of...

View media item 11884Kind of hard to see with everything installed, but that's a shot of under the bottom shelf where the fans are installed.

So far I'm very happy with how it all turned out.
EDIT: Fixed a typo
