New Cigar From Pete

I heard about these a while back, and I'm very interested to try these cigars.

Yes...I drink the Pete Kool-Aid.

Pete talked about these in those two interveiws that circulated the net back in early November. i will prolly pick up one of the half/half things to try as well as part out.

"economy priced"? That means they're no good, right?

Economy price with an economy taste? I bet this cigar will be one I judge as "good for the price." I'd rather not have to qualify "good."

* "Good for the price if I can get this damn thing to draw" will be my more likely reaction. We are talking Tats here.

Why do you think this Doc? I think there are several "economy priced" cigars that are very good. The Ashton Benchmade comes to mind, as well as the Padron 2000, and there are several others I'm sure. I am biased towards Tatuaje, as they are one of my favorite smokes, but with Pepin having a hand in these I'm not prepared to call them junk until I've had a couple. Then if they suck, I'll let you know.

I am looking forward to these. Padron x000 and La Gloria Cubana are a couple of my fave "economy" smokes as well.

I'm curious. Is there a cigar store on Shelter Island, or do you have to go to "the mainland"?
