My wife and I moved to a new apartment last week. I thought I would save us some money by moving everything myself (LOL), what a mistake that was.
We only moved two apartment blocks down so I thought it would be a piece of cake. It took me half a day to build a trolley, two days to move boxes and furniture and a day to clean up the old place.
Never again will I do it alone.
Next time I will just pay someone.

Anyway we are all moved in and really happy with our lot.
Nicer living space, better views and more room for my Humis. :whistling:

Here are a couple of pics of the view from my balcony/smoking deck...

Looking north towards the suburb of Chatswood.

Looking west towards Royal North Shore Hospital.

Looking East towards Manly beach

Do not look down we are 16 floors up.

And looking out west towards the Blue mountains in the early evening.

It just gives you all an idea of what I get to view when smoking

Great views thanks for sharing. Congrats on the new digs.

Great smoking views. Wow.

After my last move which I did myself (with the help of tkoepp). I told my wife never again. If we can't pay movers then we can't move.

Every move, all 16 in the service including moving into this house I basically did myself. I never owned anything I couldn't move, haul or handtruck by myself. Now I have 500lb speakers, a couch that is just huge and all the wife's stuff. I won't even think of moving myself again.

Congrats on the move. I completely agree about hiring someone -- moving is one of life's worst experiences!

I really like that West-facing view!

That east view is gorgeous. Congrats on the new place once again.

Betcha wouldn't let the movers touch your Scotch collection.

Better get your new addy out there Dave. :whistling:

Nice Views.

Next time you move hire professionals and if you feel you need to participate set up a lounge chair with a cooler of your favorite beverages and call out directions from the chair smoking a cigar. My last two moves have been a real pleasure ;)

Enjoy the new digs!

Very cool Anvil. Perhaps someday I'll go after the Great Barrier and look you up.

Excellent views.

I hate moving. Before TheWife[sup]©[/sup] everything I owned could be put in the back of a Ford Ranger pick up and moved by myself. The last move we did cost more in back surgery for me (the second one always costs more) than movers would have cost. :(

I'm glad that Manly Beach isn't really close enough for you to have a good view... ;) :D
