My setup and some humidor porn

I love the "reminder notes......DO NOT TOUCH !" Ha, it's like sneeking into the frige for a chocolate donut.

Yeah, Cibao, I am trying really hard to leave some stuff alone for a while. Like years heheheh. An almost complete lack of patience is a character flaw of mine that I have been aware of since childhood so we'll see if I can muster up the restraint.

My plan is to only buy boxes of ISOMs two at a time - although not necessarily the same cigar. I'll buy one to smoke as I normally do and one to put away for several years at least. Hopefully that will accomplish two things.
1. It will make me think much more seriously about what I buy since I will (sort of) be spending twice the money on cigars. In other words, I hope to reduce or eliminate the impulse buys when a good ISOM deal pops up
2. It will allow me to build up a stock of decently aged cigars. After some as yet undetermined number of years I can start breaking in to the aged boxes and then replace them as I go to keep the whole process rolling.

So I started with a box of my favorites - those Monte No. 2 with the label you noticed. I dunno what the next round will be but right now I'm leaning towards RASS.

I'm seeing double!!

Very nice collection! I think I should have followed suite with the two Vinotemps. I love mine but it is bursting at the seams.

I dig the lights.

Getting a little full there buddy. Feel free to store those God of fires at my place!

nice set up

Tim That is a nice rig! I have to tell yo one thing though buddy! Start smoking some cigars, or set up a shop! ;)

Who am I to talk.... LOL! I got the fever now for about 5 years. And I'm going to Target today... ohhh wait, they just knocked ours down to build a super Target! Wow... I just saved enough $$ to buy some more cigars!

Heheheh yeah I had 2 boxes of them at one point and I wanted to make sure the ones I am trying to leave alone for a few years stayed left alone

Super Target is where I got the Vinos  . On a related note, why is it almost impossible to walk out of any Target without spending triple digits?

Thanks for the compliments, gents.

Tim,

Amazing setup. I'm looking to go the wine-o-dor route and the Vino-temp(s) you have is my front runner. Could you give me an idea of how much noise the unit makes under operation. Is there any compressor type hum or random noises that could disturb someone in an otherwise silent room (office/ study.)
Thanks in advance,
Nick

Hi Nick,

Thanks :) The Vinotemps use thermoelectric cooling units so there is no compressor. I have mine in my office that has multiple computers so although the Vinos arent actually silent (they do use a fan) they are certainly quieter than any of my computers. I never hear them come on or off so I doubt that noise would be a problem.

On the other hand, the air circulation fans that I added (the blue lights in the corner of each Vino) don't make much noise either but when they turn on and off the timer I use makes an clearly audible CLICK. It doesn't bother me at all but if it is a concern and you want to circulate the air, you could use an Oust fan - they are silent. Again, the computer circulation fans and their timer are extras I added; they aren't an issue with the Vino itself.

Good luck and gooooooooo Wino-O-Dor!

- Tim
