I've never used anything other than distilled water since I started so very, very long ago. However, there are no shortage of viejos around here who say that any type of water type is fine. Whatever. Don't buy that myself. I did, on some humidor-selling website ages ago, read that purified water was recommended by this manufacturer.
Best bet...I would wait until you get your hands on some distilled water. Waiting and going that route beats the alternative of having a humi go way south in a bad way.
