As the owner of a 49/55 Spec. Const. FL, a 95 FXD & a 2010 FLHTC on order and a sidebar builder, I have to speak up. Anyone riding period, no matter what. And saying or typing "Linky's" needs their privilege of operating any two wheeled mechanical device, REVOKED! To even include tricycles, bicycles, planes, trains or automobiles!

Sportster, I don't know you but what Gonz took exception was the remark you made about "Jap" bikes. That my friend is a derogatory remark, so in effect you started off on the wrong foot. Maybe his tone to you was off, but if you knew anything about CP it is if someone that has been here for a while will call you out. I guess he called you. How you proceed from here on is up to you, but it is your choice.

Well, I beg to differ about the "Jap" bike remark.....They are clones, in fact, one Jap company was sued for copying the sound of Harley and Harley won, that my friend, is a clone effort by all shades of the definition, I mean it seems to me that Gonz was too sensitive on my "Jap" remark and took it to another level...after all, I didn't say JAP CRAP which would have been a "derogatory" remark and he made assumptions about my comments that were way off base...and what do I need to know about CP??....that older members can take a post out of context, bring it to the table, and then get community backing even if he's WRONG??? Is that the CP agenda?? Because I sure haven't seen that as a priority around here....You guess he called me??...LOL...Well, that too, is a matter of opinion....He didn't call me on anything, he made an assupmtion and was shown his error in doing so...and how I proceed here will be just as I have. I don't want any trouble here...and in the same breath, I am not going to take any sh!t from members here either...... Thanks for your concen!!

Ok let me make this clear, "Jap" is a dergoatory term for people from Japan. You are debasing an ethnic class, plain and simple.

I agree that the use of the term Jap is derogatory in the manner in which it was used.
And, by the way, Harley withdrew its application to Trademark the sound of their motorcycles in 2000 or so. I do not think they reinstated a trademark application later because the one that they let go had been languishing in the process for a long long time.

I know guys that call their own bikes Jap bikes. I hardly think that it was meant in a derogatory way. This looks like a case of someone being too sensitive. It honestly just needs to be let go. Nothing good is going to come from this.

Case in point:
I've known many men who've owned Sportsters. Several of those were "insulted" by the remark made by many that a Sporty is a "woman's bike". I've even heard of a couple of guys get the shit kicked out of them for making that statement. Who was right and who was wrong there???
Back on subject, someone above mentioned how the trailer affects the handling of the bike in turns and I think that has a lot to do with the type of trailer and it's suspension. That's one of the reasons I chose a Bushtec.
Someone else mentioned the one wheeled trailers. Unigo is the brand and I rode a Triumph Sprint ST pulling one of those. I tell ya, I didn't even know the thing was behind me in turns or even on acceleration. Not much room unfortunately, but a hell of a nice trailer.
