Motorcycle Accident 😥

My Daughter and Husband were in a hit and run motorcycle accident, July 22, 2021. Police are still Investigating, and looking for the hit and run driver.

Adreanna is home but cuts and bruises and sore, still having trouble moving. Having trouble walking ,let alone drive. We don't know when she will be able to return to work.

Bobby is still in the hospital, Torn rotator cuff in one shoulder , possibly the other Stiches in both hands , spleen is bleeding , twisted ankle. We do not have a recovery window at this time. Being told 2 months minimum.

Very sorry to hear brother, I wish everyone a speedy recovery, and apprehension of that dirt bag that fled.
 
So sorry to hear about the accident. I went over the high side on my Vulcan 900 at about 50 MPH due to a driver's stupidity, and realized that these old bones don't bounce nearly as well as they did 40 years ago. Ugh. Best wishes to all involved, and hoping the H&R driver has a really bad day.....

Off topic, but a very expensive Shoei helmet saved my life. No question. Can't put a price on solid protective gear...!!

No you can not put a price on gear.
 
Daughter is eating a little not much but finally eating. Still very sore ,still having trouble walking.
She did try to get a shower she said water was burning. But we did get her bandages changed.


They just took Bobby for another CT scan , to check his spleen , if it is still bleeding he will be going for surgery to have it removed some time today. Not sure what they are doing about his shoulder(s) yet. Ankle is still 3x normal size. They did bring him some solid food in , his hands are trashed bad , and can't grip anything, nurse wouldn't help him eat.

The police are telling us they information on the hit and run driver , but they are looking for a witness to come forward before they apprehend the person (not sure why on this) , when they said they know where the car is , they know what car it was from traffic cameras. Hoping they have them soon.
 
Very sorry to hear this! I really miss having a motorcycle but Ohio's roads are terrible and people just don't seem to care about motorcycles on the road.

I don’t have my bike anymore but Michigan roads are probably worse than Ohio. Always fun planning the escape route on the shoulder when riding. Kinda a constant white knuckle experience…at least in the area where I am.
 
I’ll be keeping them in my thoughts. With all the distracted drivers out there it makes me a little nervous even driving sometimes.

Nate, if I had to guess, I'd say they want a witness to lock in the details. Since your daughter and her husband were pretty banged up, a defense attorney COULD use that against their "memory" of what took place. An eye witness can reaffirm(hopefully) what your daughter says took place. At this point, alcohol tests are moot, drug screens may or may not be moot, so getting their ducks in a row before arresting is a good idea.

Keep the faith, let them both know we are praying for their speedy recovery and keep pushing your daughter. Baby steps will lead to giant steps down the road(as you know, I'm sure).

That’s terrible news Nate! Hopefully, they catch this driver. Any hope for their bike to make a full recovery?
 
Nate, I'm with you and so is all the gang. Hope the police resolve this quickly and in your favor. Look forward to hearing you have a witness.
 
Adreanna is still lots of pain , the cut hole on her leg blood/puss has been running out. However her voice sounds alot better this morning, and she did eat a full meal last night at dinner.

Bobby , his spleen stopped bleeding, still don't know what they are doing about his shoulder. Ankle still swelled up , still sounds like horrible and is in a lot of pain.

@jfields weird to me but they look worse then bike which is suprising to me.

Now apparently someone that shouldn't have found the name out , found the name out and confronted him , and something about him skipping town. Apparently they called the investigator after they confronted him.

However This is however hear say so I am still optimistic. Hopefully the police pick him soon but we will see.

Good luck brother! I hope the right things happen all the way around from here on out!

Let's hope a little time and motivation help the driver to do the right thing.
 
Very sorry to hear about the accident. Glad to hear there is some healing happening.

I hope the driver that caused this situation is found (again) and they bring him to justice.
