Most Expensive Cigar?

Just curious as to what was the most expensive box or single cigar ever sold. I am guessing it must have been a vintage, but who knows. Would the owner hold on to it as a collectors item or smoke it?

You can actually get those for like 200 a box now if i remember correctly..... Vintage dunhills and davidoffs fetch a pretty penny now a days too.

I think 1492 are up there. Or possibly Behikes.

That is wayyyy below current market value for 1492s. I also think Behikes were more expensive on release than current market value for 1492s but I see some guys lurking the thread that would know better than I.

The 1492's are WAY more than 10k a box. The Cohiba 40th Anniversary Humidor (containing 40 Behikes) will run you over $30,000 today.

Edit: Also google the Cohiba Osvaldo Guayasamin humi. Pretty snazzy .

I never saw them that High. I thought they were closer to 30k, but I am apparently wrong.

At least at 7 1/2 inches you are getting your moneys worth for the Behike :laugh: The 40th anniversary Humidor looks AWESOME!!

A cigar that is often over looked and rates right up there with the best of them is the Trinidad Diplomats. These elusive cigars have feched over $16,000 for a box of 25 at Christies. That was back in 1997 and the last year they were produced. God only knows what they would sell for today at auction.
