Hey everyone

Just wondering if anyone lives in or around the Minneapolis area. I will be town Friday May 14th - Sunday May 16th. I would love to be pointed out some good cigar stores.

I have heard and read about a place called "The Golden Leaf" in St. Paul, so Im going to check that out for sure. Saturday the 15th is my anniversary, can anyone suggest a good place for me and my wife to go?

Would anyone be interested in meeting up with me and having a smoke? I would love to meet some of you in person. I am able to bring about 100 cigars back to Canada between me and my wife so I am looking for someone to show me a good place to go.

There's a few folks here that know good spots in St. Paul. My experience in fine dining there is limited to the St Paul GrillDining


MPLS has some good places to enjoy a nice evening with the Mrs. Lastly, I am sure some if not all of the CP crew from the Twin Cities will be able to come out for a smoke if your time allows for it. Enjoy your visit!

Just the best group of frozen hosers you could ever hope to herf with up in that area. if any of those guys are available to herf take full advantage. You won't regret it.

You just about have your pick of dining in the Twin Cities. You can get just about any style of food and the price range runs the gamut. I know that's not much help, but it all depends on what you want.

Definitely herf if you have the chance. Great bunch of guys. Well, except for the Yankees fan... :p
 
Tim- Mpls has a ton of good eats. Here are a list of favorites.
Manny's - best steakhouse in the midwest
Capital Grill - best of the chain steakhouses

Seven steakhouse & sushi- great dining & nightclub. Awesome outdoor terrace

Vincent - french

Brasa - Rotissieri. Local meats. Fabulous

D'Amico Kitchen at the Chambers hotel- Italian

Oceanaire - seafood

Feel free to pm me if you have any questions. I have eaten at nearly every restaurant in downtown Mpls & St. Paul.

My sister graduates from the U on Monday May 17. I will likely be up there on Sunday, but probably unable to steal away for a smoke. I could come on Saturday and meet up, but it seems no one is scheduling anything. Not going to suffer through 3 days with my sis if I don't to at least run into you guys again :(
 
PM some of the guys. They may not see the thread and I don't think they all check in every day.

I wish I lived closer, I'd be there in a heartbeat.
 
I could do afternoon or early evening on Sat or Sun. I have to be to work in Chisago at 8:00 PM both of those nights.
 
We're tentatively planning to head up to Nisswa to put the dock in at the lake that weekend. (I actually don't have a band gig that weekend, amazingly) Otherwise it would be fun to meet up with everyone.

I think Id really like to see Golden Leaf... Ive read a lot about it (reviews wise) and its only about 15 minutes from my hotel it looks like (Sheriton)
 
I have not really gotten together with anyone in the area but if you are setting something up I am game. I just live in Hudson so across the river.
 
The Mlps crew has had a few weeks off from our normal weekly herf, but I think this Wed. a good portion of us will be together....so we will come up with a plan for that Sat. and run from there. Robbie hopefully you can get out of that funky packer loving state an extra day and join in the fun.

Theres a good group of guys in MN, I've met a couple of them, meet them for a smoke!
 
Between me and my wife I'm allowed to bring back 100 Cigars.

I will plan each purchase well. :-D
