Man do I miss this...

Nice, is that turn one, south course??

Same corner I think

yeah, that was my second guess. I love the north course!
South is pretty damn fun as well.
YOu ever run the grand or full course?

Did the full course once last year.

Have done North about 9 times and south about 4.

I definitely prefer the North.

If I didn't get rid of everything last fall, I'd be heading down to Barber on the 29th/30th...man, it sucks getting old (ie "responsible") :D

GGEEEEZZEEE

Sold the bike

You ride with Team Promotion? Your bike looks really familiar. I was up there a couple times last year with my cooker at the Team Pro Mo days.

Sold all 3 bikes, trailer & equip last fall to start Cigarmony.com, do the Humidi-Puck and we are planning on starting a family later this year...huge sacrifice I guess but it's all good (well, maybe eventually LOL!)

LOL! Someone told me they thought I just leaned the bike over and had someone take the pic of me standing still with my knee holding me up :p

Man do I wish I had the spare bike and balls to do that!! I don't have the bike. Mine's to expensive to repair to tear up on a track day. :( I'd like to tho.. Maybe some day. I envy you though! I bet those were some seriously good times!

Mark expect a PM from me soon!

The R6 was my street bike (about $8k). I bought street plastics from someone on Ebay who had wrecked the same bike. Got the whole set for like $300 and only changed out the tires. The plastics are BY FAR the most expensive thing to replace in most crashes (excluding fork and frame damage, if any).

I essentially was just using my street bike on the track and the 03 R6 handled it VERY well (with some minor suspension setup).

Of all the bikes I owned and used on the track (6, including a fully tuned race bike) the R6 was the best "out of the box" bike. Just need some different tires.

I tried an "Intro" track day with NESBA about 5 or 6 years ago and got hooked. I eventually stopped ridding street all together and went to the track every weekend.

You should try it bro, you won't find anything close to as much fun!

Oh, I forgot to mention that my wife even got into some track days!

How does that make you feel Derek? :p

hahah! Now my tail is really tucked!!

Thats kickass though, women + sportbikes + leather =

Thats an awesome thing to be able to include her! My wife started riding last summer and we got her a bike. You got a good thinkg going on!

I ride an older Buell and man parts are just too hard to find and cost too much to replace to take it out on the track. I'm super afraid I'd eat it and toast the bike and I love that thing too much! I'm hoping to get a new bike maybe next summer, really wanting the 2005 CBR600RR..

I've had her since 2000, shes a 1997 Buell S1 Lightning:
