I have heard about the PP idiots before here and on other boards. I have never used PP before and probably never will. That is one thing that keep me away from E-Bay.
However, I have two simple questions:
1. Why does PP have this policy?
2. Why did the posts naming PP need to be edited?
???

1. They say the policy is to keep minors from purchasing tobacco. I say BS on that. They're anti-tobacco people, that's all there is to it.
2. PP has been suspected of scanning the internet for mentions of their name in order to police those that use their service. I don't know if it has ever been conclusively proven that they do this, but it has been reported by several. Of course we all know how the "telephone game" works.
So I guess if PP wants to have this policy they should be allowed to.
thats why i dont use PAY SCAM..

HOLD THE F%&K UP
They scan your post and sent you a PM saying remove??? You are freaking kidding me right; yea you kidding right??? ??? OMG i can't wrap my mind around that. Oh man this is bad. Man someone needs to do something about these fools.
There's always WU. But PP much safer than WU. With WU, once its gone, its gone. With PP, you at least have a chance to get it back if you've been scammed. Now, I am by no means trying to glorify PP because I've been screwed by them (or more the specifically the people that use it) but it is hassle free if you know what your doing, who you're doing it with and if you can make it through the "loopholes".The question that I pose is what other means would one use besides PP to send funds electronically? This seems to be the issue that prevents more people from boycotting them. There certainly are other ways of exchanging money, but to my knowledge, nothing as easy as PP (in large part because so many people have accounts with them).
They are a business. As a business I beleive they should be allowed to choose who they want as customers. If they want certain customers and want to allow them to do something while patronizing their business then that should be OK. If certain other customers are not pleased by this practice then they will make their objections known and/or stop patronizing that business. If there are enough objections and lost business the business owner will either change the policy or possibly go out of business. Either way the business owner (not some other entity) should be able to decide how he/she/they want to run the business.
Well screw them, then!2. PP has been suspected of scanning the internet for mentions of their name in order to police those that use their service. They do, they even sent me a link to my own posting and asked that I remove it. They have since shut down my account and I will not go back.

If I were a shareholder (do they have shareholders?)
If I were a shareholder (do they have shareholders?)
They're a subsidiary of Ebay.
I can't tell you how many "books" I have been buying through PP.
