So last summer I find out that my father-in-law (lives out of town) enjoys cigars. I introduce him to some good ones because he was used to smoking Swishers! He and my mother-in-law send me two boxes of cigars (nothing extravagant just ERDM) for this past Christmas.

Now they came up and visited a couple weekends ago and it just so happened that my local shop was having Gurkha tasting event with free cigars, free food and free drinks. HE HAD A BLAST! He said that he had never done anything like that before. We talked about alot of things while they were here. Because they are avid cruisers (boats not cars - although they are into hot rod cars shows too) they talked about some of the cruises they have been on and we indicated that we want to do that someday.

So fast forward to this afternoon . . . my wife gets a phone call from them. My father-in-law asks if I have any good cigars because he knows a really great place to smoke. She says where is that? He answers "On a 7 night Mexican cruise". They tell her that they are taking us (the entire family, me, my wife, and our 3 kids 5,7, 14) on an all-expense-paid 7 night Mexican cruise in the last week of April!!!!

YE HAH!!!

Now I have to start thinking about what cigars I am going to take so we do not have to buy them on the ship. You all can start being jealous now.

Damn :( Well thanks for the warning

Man that is going to be a great time, sounds like the in-laws are keepers. ;) Good stuff.

Outstanding! Enjoy. And if you're in California and leaving from there (L.A.), you probably will do the "Mexican Riveria" cruise. It is excellent and you'll enjoy it.

Congrats.....Well I think you owe your Father-in-law a nice ISOM cigar :D now for your Mother-in-law a nice spa treatment........

OK, no in-law jokes for you anymore. Congrats, sounds like a ton-o-fun!

Actually I have two (2) sets of in-laws. My wife's parents divorced and both remarried. Her mother and step-father are the cool ones who are taking us on the cruise. Her father is nice but way too passive for his know-it-all-pushy-oppressive-controlling-bossy-snoopy-high-maintenance-emotional-bitchy-crabby wife.

So really 3 out of 4 is not too bad.
