My collection is growing faster, than I can drink, but that's how it's supposed to be.....right?

Would love a bottle of Blanton's. I can trade beer or local bourbon that's not available in your area. Or, if you run across a bottle, I'll PP you the $$$.

Won't be today or tomorrow, but I'll check with the liquor store across the river from me. Amazingly, they seem to have Blanton's in stock, most of the time.

You have to do it THROUGH a liquor store, is my understanding. It's about 200-240 bottles. No idea about price. I didn't see Blanton's on the list of who offers it, though. Woodford will do a barrel of Double Oaked, though. I'd do a whole barrel of THAT for myself if I had the cash, it's terrific bourbon.

I've always heard it estimated in the $8-10K range---basically, retail price for however many bottles the barrel yields, is what most articles have said. Because the distillery CAN'T sell it direct & you have to go through a liquor store, you're not getting it at wholesale or anything like that.

$46 (local price for the Double Oaked) X 240 (the number of bottles Woodford says you'll get) = $11,040.00, but I imagine a deal could be struck for less with the store arranging the buy for you.

Come on! I don’t get a break by buying a whole bottle? That’s baloney. Do you get to pick and keep the barrel at least?
