Look what the girlfriend brought home today...

Thanks to all of you!
It's weird, I only spent a little time (1 1/2hrs.) with her yesterday,and todayI missed her!!! :0
Well, I cruised around where she found the dog, and suprise suprise... no "lost dog" signs!!! I am going to check back over there the rest of the week, but I doubt she will be claimed.
At least now she will be well cared for and have a great home!!! My buddy was a little apprehensive about taking her because of the pit bull thing, but after having her for a day, he said she is a great dog!!!

Hey casa...
Thanks for the compliment on the yard. It looked like hell in the pics... needed a mowing at the time!!! It's all good now!!!

Peekay, is your dog always so excited posing for the camera? LOL

Yep that's his wang, pretty funny picture. So far the dog has been great; in the morning he's my running partner and in the evening my smoking buddy. The only problem is he's a little too rough with kids; the other day at the Vet he tried to knock down a kid by jumping on him. Luckily he was on the leash and I pulled him down. But he's only a year old, so with some training he should learn .

To anyone wanting to get a purebred dog, I would HIGHLY recommend going through a rescue. All the dogs I met were very well adjusted despite the terrible situations from which they came. Often the dogs are tested around kids, other dogs and cats so you know what you're getting. I couldn't be happier with the dog we recieved from them :)!

Peekay I can't agree with you enough. I picked up my Aussie from a rescue in Ohio, he was abandonded in a foreclosed home for over a month. When they found him he weighed 16 lbs.& actually thought he was dead, until he opened his eyes. That was Oct.'05, he is now 48lbs & will be competing for the GA State Championships in two months. What an awesome dog.
