Mo's a friend of mine. He's a buying whore... LOL! Being a single doctor has it's privileges... LOL!

he's not a practicing doctor anymore though, he's in some form of real estate now (or so he told me).
very generous with his cigars as well.

He's still writing my 'scripts... LOL!!!!

That's really impressive. So I wonder how long it actually took to accumulate that many???

Not a bad investment though. If kept right, don't most good cigars just go up in value as they get older???

Depends on the cigars...Christie's auction has sold some vintage cigars for OUTRAGEOUS prices. Te-Amo's wont exactly rise in value!

Oh yeah no doubt about that... but if for no other reason than estetics (sp) I'd still build a walk-in (preferable with enough room for a nice leather recliner) for a kick ass collection like that.

Would you really want to smoke amongst your cigars? I would think the smoke could be objectionable (smell your ashtray).

Any thoughts?

The smoke would be objectionable...I think the chair would be to just to sit back and admire.

You got it! And to breath in the sent of primo tobacco.

I still think he needs nothing, no leather chair..nothing. Outside of owning your own cigar shop, or owning Nicaragua...this is cigar Nirvana.

I like seeing shit like that! Now I don't feel so odd. I want to have a walk in humidor in my house.

How long do you think the dry wall on the ceiling will last with all that humidity? :0 If I had that kind of money I would want a walkin with that cedar smell :D

I counted about 170 boxes, if they are all full you are talking 4250 cigars. Don't know where the 10,000 are. My cabinet holds 6000 cigars and it is presently 2/3rd's full.

Yeah I counted a little over 170 boxes, but that wasn't counting his top shelf, the stuff on the right with the humidor/drawer stuff. That also wasn't counting what you can barely see on the left. He said he has about 10,000...but now that I counted I don't know how that's possible either. maybe 5000...6000 tops. Master if your humidor holds 6000 that must be absolutely huge. Because this guys closet is full top to bottom with boxes and it would probably be at capacity with 6000 and that's a whole closet! Of course storing them loosely frees up room. Man I wish I were like you guys to be able to afford to store that much and then have that much. Nuts.

Being at 60-70% probably wont hurt a thing...especially since the walls are probably coated in latex paint.

I think that I counted about 300 in the 1st pic. Still that's only 7500 cigars.

Great collection... but if I had that much money to burn, I'd do it right and build a real walk in humidor... They way he has it set up now scares me.

It pretty much is a walk in humidor. He has the room weatherstripped/sealed and he has at least 2 large humidifiers...it's just like your local B and M....as far as spanish cedar, there is enough cedar in there I'd say looking at the few hundred boxes. And most B and M's around me have a large glass room for humidors anyway. I think I'd trade in a coolidor/desktop setup for his closet setup anyday!

The whole room?? Wow!! I was wondering how he was controlling the humidity. The problem for me is that I'd waste all of my smoking time just standing there with my tongue hanging out trying to figure what next to smoke.

I do agree though, if I had a collection like that, I'd definitely make a more impressive display - but just the sight of that collection is breathtaking! :O

I just keep reminding myself... no matter how many cigars you have, you can only smoke one at a time. And I'm in no trouble of running out any time soon. :)

Michigan,my cabinet is 88" high by 51" wide by 29" deep. It weighs 686 pounds empty. When I moved here to Florida I had to have it shipped in a refrigerated truck, cost me 800 bucks.

Master, you are a true aficionado. That sounds like an amazing cabinet.

Jason

The best part about my cabinet was the price, I paid 2995.00 plus 581.00 for delivery and set up. I had searched for over a year before I found this gem at Vinotemp.com. I had looked at the Vigilant, Pendergast and others, but couldn't find anything as big as the one I got for less than 12,000 bucks.

This was before Bob Staebell from Aristocrat or Matt from Avallo stated getting into temp controlled cabinets.Today there are a lot more choices annd the prices have come way down on theses types of Cabinets.

I just hope one day I can attain what you have attained. There are so many people out there that look up to the kind of collection you have.

Jason

Boy do I wish I could afford a quarter of that collection. Maybe after I get a job that pays more that $7.50 an hour and get out of high school. :p
