Liquor Acquisitions 2023, 2024

Now this is an interesting pour. Picked it up locally for $30. Triple Distilled and triple casks (bourbon, sherry and chestnut). I have to say - very pleasant combination. A bit of a sweetness and very easy, smooth whisky. I drank it neat and really enjoyed it. It is unique, yet familiar. In my opinion - worth the try, especially at the price.

Sherry kind of day. Laphroaig Sherry Oak Cask Finish and an Arran Sherry Cask.

Used to the Laphroaig, but the Arran looks interesting. Not tried that one yet - had to look it up. Looks to be a newer distillery (1995ish) and seems they have a good process. I'm also interested in their Robert Burns blended whisky. Love to hear your thoughts!

Arran is an excellent brand. The OSWA's have given it the trifecta award as the top value scotch three years running for the Arran 10. Excellent dram for the price. I've gotten five different bottles from them and liked them all. They range between mid 50's to mid 70's in St. Louis. I am not familiar with the Robert Burns blend though. On a side note, I've got a buddy running up to Chicago and hopefully getting me a Kilchoman Sanaig CS at one of the Binnys.
