LFD Mysterio

Let's do a Litto Gomez Small Batch No.1 box split!

-Rob

The Small Batch No.1s sold out the first day, so you'll have to find a dealer that put in an order @ RTDA if you want to pick up a box.

Another interesting item to me is the LFD Double Ligero "A" size that Litto is working on. Double Ligero in an "A" sized smoke? That might give even Mr. Peat pause... :)

Hopefully someone will hunt down a box and share the wealth!

As far as Mr. Peat... I doubt the LFD DL A would faze him in the least! :p

First day? Hell, they sold out by 11 am. LFD was my third stop on the first day and they were already gone. :( I did get the Mysteros, however. :p Can't remember the ship date, but hopefully it will be soon.

Now the Coronado sounds interesting. They are saying that it will be the strongest cigar they make. Considering the strength of some of the sticks they already make, this will be interesting. From what I hear through the grape vine, one of the LFD reps gave a reporter one of these durring an interview. About halfway through it the interviewer stoped got up and returned about an hour later still sick as a dog  . Can't wait to try this out.

I don't think that's right... the Coronado is actually milder than most of the LDF lines, at least in my opinion. I smoked one the other night, and it was a good cigar, but it was medium bodied, IMHO.

They are pretty though:

Holy s**t, there so damn oily I can taste it!

Oily indeed. The one I smoked the other day was so oily when I removed the band the back side of the embossing was actually full of oil from this wrapper.

These sticks are retaining a lot of moisture, in the wrapper and in the cigar itself. A good 12 to 14 hour dry box is in order before smoking, eihter that or about a week in 65% or below RH. They are just too moist to smoke at 70% RH.

It reminds me of the problems people were having with the King B. Too much humididty hiding the true flavor of the tobacco.
They are not green or do not need age, they need to be "dehumidified" before smoking. Still avery spicy strong cigar even though the flavor was masked by the dampness of the tobacco.

Interesting, I haven't encountered that in the Small Batch No.1s I've had. I haven't had any burn issues either, perhaps it was a batch you guys received?
