Latest Cigar Box Project

So Opus Mex contacted me a couple days ago asking if he could commission me on a project for him. Funny thing is, Linda and I were just talking about the same thing so of course I said I'd give it a go. In the meantime, I got anxious to give it a try so I did one for myself while waiting for his special boxes to come in.

So I present the new cigar box lamp! I debated on how many bands to put on the shade, and am really happy with how it came out.

That is SUPER BAD ASS!!! :thumbs:. You certainly did not waste any time, that lamp looks just as good if not better than the one at the B&M we had talked about. That Cohiba tube was a great touch, I can't wait to see what you do with the one's I send you, congrats again Wade.

The tube was a pain in the ass but well worth it IMHO, I had a guy on CF send it to me for a different project, and when I started the lamp, it just seemed perfect.

How is it all held together, did you use a hollow threaded rod to fasten all the pieces together?

That was the real bummer of the whole project, drilling through the boxes for the threaded rod of course ruined several cigars, and now that they're all linked together, I cant get the rest of the cigars out either! :sign:

It's not for sale, but yes, threaded rod, washers and nuts hold all the boxes together.
