I just got an email from my B&M back at home saying they just got a very limited supply of hemingway maduros & anejos in today. As luck would have it, I promised my parents I would come home today to visit for the weekend. It's been too long since I've had the chance to shop at my B&M...hope they dont gouge like crazy.

I may try to buy as many as they'll let me buy and just distribute at cost to those that want them.

I don't believe they'll have a 'limit' but they ask customers to not take all of them at one time. They sell their Opus X when they do get them in at MSRP...so I'm holding out for a miricle.

I think I've already suggested you hang out over at Tobacco Road with some of the Arlington Crew. They had the goods last year, don't know why they wouldn't again this year.

Tobacco Road is my local B&M. Used to be Tobacco lane until I found them. I called and spoke with Allen and he said they never get the Anejo's in, didn't get any last year and wasn't expecting any this year. So unless he's stashing them away not sure what's up..

My local B&M is getting Anejos and WOAMs in this week too. They don't gouge too bad, as they sell about $2.50 over MSRP for each vitola. Not too bad at the end of the day. They do give you a nice healthy discount when you buy boxes, so it sort of nullifies the price increase.

I passed on a box of 50's last night which according to the guide posted on this site were about $2.00 a stick over MSRP. The store wouldn't sell less than the whole box and wouldn't do a box discount.

Not sure what's up with that. [politely] Allen is mistaken. I purchased Anejo's and Hemis last season there. He might be holding out or he's out of the loop. Talk with Jay (altercall), he's a member there.

BTW - I detest the BS secrecy some retailers employ this time of year. I'm not just talking about TR. I am comforted in that the several retailer BOTLs on CP are upfront.
