Meat is murder! Tasty, tasty murder.

I've been a fan of Jonny Lang since Lie to Me came out. I've seen him three times now and each show has been outstanding. The energy and passion he puts into his playing and singing is contagious and the rest of his band really feed off of him (as does the crowd).
Honestly, I'm more of a fan of his first two albums and the purer blues sound of them than his more recent stuff, but what the recent stuff lacks on album comes through loud and clear on stage. I can also appreciate his desire and willingness to grow as a person and artist as he has with the last two albums. They may not be his best work, but if they're any indication of what's to come as he grows as a musician/songwriter, he's going to be making some really good music in the future. I just hope there's some more real blues stuff in that future.
One thing I do like about the new stuff is it's very positive. It's nice to hear that in music sometimes.
He puts on a great show. If you ever get the chance to see him live, I'd recommend taking the opportunity.
