Day 2
Removal of the grass that sits where the new walkway will go. Sadly this summer was the best that grass has been in that area in 4 years. My yard was a sand pit originally and it has taken a lot of work to get it to the half way decent state it is at plus this is a very high traffic area.

Enjoy,

Good work. Stone dust and tamping next! make it level and you can lay those pavers as fast as you can pick them up. What pattern are you doing with the 2 sizes? That changes numbers a TON!

Whatever uses the least...They were expensive...LOL

I have a lot more digging to do. I don't want it to be a big bump up from the grass.

Ya you should tamp down at least 4 - 6 inch of stone dust, screed it off nice and level, stakes along the edge and use mason string from stake to stake and set your desired height on each and wrap the string around it real tight and go to the next. Then all you gotta do is pick your pattern and go. Have some fresh stone dust on hand, sprinkle a little bit under each area as you go, using a rubber mallet to smack them down so they sink in and sit tight. (im sure you already know all this) any question feel free to PM me.

I appreciate the info! Thanks dude.

Is it considered cheating to GOOGLE EARTH his address and use the Measure feature on Google Earth to get a accurate measurement on the walk way and width of the front of the stairs? ???? ???? ????

Thanks for the CONTEST!

Picture from Google earth is a little dated. I believe it was was from this spring.
