CigSid's post was a hilarious response and caught me off guard! I laughed out loud! That explains A LOT
So what do you do?Just wanted to add that this is a neat thread to see what it is that everyone does (that is, who wants to share)!
Retired most days, just plain tired some days.
I’m the horticulture manager for a winery...it’s pretty cool since I get to be active/physical at work. Desk jobs just aren’t for me, even though I do spend some time at one!So what do you do?

I started as a skilled trades recruiter and eventually moved to managing the Charlotte office's operations. Now I direct company safety and corporate training.

That’s an important job sir! There are some days I think band was the only reason I didn’t drop out and I remained friends with our director. You’re a great influence on your studentsI'm a middle school general and instrumental music teacher. Going on year 16.
I also work part time at a local brewery as a tap room attendant and tour guide.
For a while I was also in a local 90's cover band, and now I still do some playing/gigging whenever called upon for various bands in the area.

My boss always know when I’m going to do something stupid when I say “You might not want to see this.” Lol.I spent some time as a housepainter and let me tell you, we thought NOTHING of going up things like that with a bucket of paint in one hand and a brush in the other!
One time I particularly remember we laid plywood down over an entry pergola, stood a stepladder on it, ran a scaffold plank from the stepladder over to the roof, put a 30' extension ladder on that, and sent me up it to trim out under the peak of the eaves on the third story. These days, any time the ol' rotator cuff or kneecap twinges from damage they took during my construction days, my response is just, "Well, hey, at least I didn't DIE."

Especially considering what we have going on with all these mass shootings. I know I am skirting politics here, but I believe we have more of a mental health issue in this country than we do a gun control issue.Mental health is an underserved area of our country. That you for the work that you do.
