Okay! So, been reading, learning, window shopping, and finally pulled the trigger a week ago on some new stuff.

HOLY MOTHER!!!!! Lol!!!

What Have I done?

Good stuff man, now you DO know you're going to have to fill that empty space up, right?

Any man that buys a 300 count AND a wineador setup at the same time has to have plans, right?

Good setup, quality stuff, you're going to be happy with that setup! Are you going to use it still before you get your spanish cedar shelves and drawers?

If everything looks stable in the morning, I'll load her up and see what happens! New humi will hold non-aro pipe tobacco per your answer to my question!

Just wanna make it clear though..... If you put pipe tobacco in there, you will never be able to put cigars in there ever again...

Pipe tobacco is pretty aromatic by itself, even non-aromatic tobaccos. It will gost your humidor no matter what.

Just wanna let you know before, so you have an exact idea of what's up.

Understood. May use a different humi...

Looks great! Did you make the drawers? They fit very well indeed.

Very nice, Trey! Love that wooden humidor too. Always loved the Kennedy Humidor. One of these days I'm going to make a replica, by god.

HA HA! First minor catastrophe and recovery...
Fiddling with putting empty stored wooden/regular CC boxes in there (to both make me look cool and to add the smell, season them back up a little), I managed to dump one of the containers of beads (only ~ 1/3 spilled out, thankfully) and backing soda. *Facepalm*

Reset everything on more stable surfaces, pulled and reorganized about a dozen times to get everything in there (no smokes yet, just space filler and every bead I have not in another humi  (another 1lb that were older, stored away))

Vacuumed up mess, cleaned everything up and viola!

Current look. Man! I wish those were full boxes still. Sigh. Time to buy more! :P

No Sir. That's what I ordered from Forrest at Wineadors.com.
Should be shipping out early next week.
vented drawers, lift out tray, vented shelves and vented tops

You know, there should be some advice given on here for n00bs to NOT fiddle so dang much with the new toys! Just let it rest, man...stop newbie twitching! :P

Yeah, good luck with that Trey. I'll send you some hygrometers next week as I'm off to NYC for a few days. I had them in my walk-in that I won't need and would prefer them going to a new happy wineador home.

Really sweet. I've got the 281 myself. As far as dumping beads, I just did that myself. Man those suckers fly everywhere.

Ha! Yep! I got lucky...bead bowl caught on the racks and only tipped partway (whew!) and the powder and beads that spilled were all contained to a small area on the carpet in front of the door. 2 minutes to get and use the vacuum.

Trey, if you have a PetSmart near you, or any decent pet store, go to the Aquarium Filter section and get the "net type" filter medium bags for the beads.
There are different sizes and only 2 or 3 bucks a piece when I last bought some. The weave is perfect for the bead size and you can lay them flat and get them to emit from all surfaces versus just the top. Also, remember, no thicker than 1 inch of beads.

Done! Ha! Was just at PetSmart yesterday in the aquarium section...
