I love the flavors of the La Gloria Serie R but every time I smoke one (over the years) The strength is just too much getting into the last third. I tried resting and i tried multiple times from multiple places. Very few cigars will ever do this to me. This particular stick always does it to me. I got smart and I quit as soon as a fell the ramp up. My palate says to keep going but the wisdom of my gut says STOP! I tried one yesterday that has been resting for 8 months and same thing. 🤷‍♂️
I smoke many full strength cigars and have zero problems. If there is a cigar that does this to you let me know!

Years ago, i smoked a CAO Criollo that put me on the couch with a trash can handy....ugh. Never revisited that one....

I used to really like LGC's. Haven't had one in many years. The only cigar that ever hit me with a nic buzz is the AF power rangers (nicknamed appropriately). If I remember correctly, LFD Chisel's used to hit me pretty good, but haven't had one of those in a really long time either.

If you find yourself with a nicotine high, eat a sugar packet or drink a sugary beverage. It'll neutralize the nicotine hit really fast, bringing down the spinning and nauseous feeling.

I can't smoke that cigar indoors, regardless of ventilation. And despite the advice of people who know far more than me, sugar does not help once I get to that point.

I see y'all are building a list of must try sticks.

LFD Double Ligero aren't the evil they used to be. I think I could smoke one with black coffee for breakfast and not feel anything. Several years back, maybe 10???, they could turn anyone green if you weren't ready.
