Inhalation Poll

Another thread that's in progress mentions inhalation of cigar smoke. I was curious, and did a search on the keyword "inhale." There are a couple of threads, but none less than two years old, and none of them polls.

So in the interest of being scientifical, I figgered, why not?

I suppose there might be some choices I didn't list, like "lotsa nasal, rarely in my lungs," but I was only allowed 10 choices. Please answer as closely as possible to your actual experience, and feel free to clarify with a post.

Half my draws go out through my nose, the rest go out through my mouth without going down to the lungs. Prolly kill myself if I fully inhaled :laugh:

I'm not sure which one to choose. Perhaps you can give me a bit of guidance.

I occasionally inhale nasally at the same time as I draw into my mouth. Then I expel both together either nasally or orally.

I don't regard blowing the smoke through my nose as inhaling!

I'd say 8 or 9, depending on the frequency with with you do those things. I need another 3-6 choices, but that's not the way of it, it seems.

If the whole internet smoking community shows up and replies to the poll, then hopefully freaks like you will be statistically anomolated, and I won't have to think this hard. :laugh:

I love spice & pepper in a cigar, and it seems my nose is much more sensitive to it.

Yes, through the nose. I did hiccup once with a nice mouthful of Sancho Panza Double Maduro smoke and it was ............. a little rough to say the least.

Yes. Only Nasally. But Less Than 50% Of The Time for me. Although it is actually much less with some cigars. I tried this with a Chisel and almost lost my sense of smell for a couple days!

I always blow the smoke through my nose. This is not inhaling. The smoke never goes below the Pharynx. Inhaling ie. drawing the smoke into ones lungs, changes the taste of the cigar dramatically for the worse,INMO.

Ive read that exhaling from your nose can give a more pleasure(flavor) of the stick.
I tried it last week, I found it to be true.

I voted: Yes. Only Nasally. Most Or All Of The Time.

But I don't really inhale, as Doc said and I usually exhale 40 - 50 % of the smoke through my mouth before I exhale the rest through my nose as most of my smokes are young. This technique doesn't burn and you still get the enhancement of exhaling through the nose.
