I'm in a magazine!

Thanks once again for all the kind words everybody. Be sure to bookmark my site and check back every now and then. I hope to add a couple more paintings in time for Christmas. And keep the suggestions coming!
 
Are these watercolor paintings? There are soft spots that make me think they are. Then you have crisp lines and vibrant colors that kind of doesn't look like watercolor. I can see why a magazine would want to use these. You got bigger pics? I just love the soft backdrop with the details up front.
 
Thanks, VIN#. Read the "About" page on my site: www.articulate-design.com. It explains that these are entirely digital and have oil and watercolor characteristics. They're printed on watercolor paper so they lean strongly in that direction. But as you noted, there are very vibrant and crisp areas that resemble oils. There are also dark lines around the more prominent subject matter that have a pencil feel. I'm going for an altogether unique painterly look.
