Oh, I could really live there.
We lived on the other side of the mountains in Ephreta when I was a kid. Even in the desert part of the state it was very cool. Huge flower fields all over the place because of the consistant mild weather with all the nasty stuff dumping on the mountains first.
My cousin lives in Kent, next to Seattle and it is nice there as well. He had a sail boat before he was married that he used to take all over the sound, around the islands, and even up the coast a ways. Very cool. Seattle gets a bum rap for always raining, but nobody mentions that the ocean keeps the temps pretty moderate and it doesn't snow all that much. One of the stations on my satelite used to be from Seattle. A few years ago they got like four inches of snow all in one storm. You would have thought the world was comming to an end from watching the news from there. The snow was collecting on flat roofed house boats in the big lake and sinking lots of them. Just four inches. I remeber it distinctly because we had just got 6 inches here at the time and it was nothing to us, very nice weather for the time of year we thought.
I used to think I wanted a nice cabin somewhere on the Olympic peninsula. Now theres a rain forrest. It would be so cool to live on such a rugged coast line amoung such huge trees with such spectacular views, and then be able to just hop the ferry into Seattle to work or shop or whatever. Seattle has parking lots of cars people keep there just for such set ups. The last time my cousin was here visiting though he mentioned that the ferry costs had gone up so much that its way too expensive to that anymore and has really made a huge mess for a lot of people lives.
Man was that ever a lot of rambling.
In short...
yea, I could live there as well.
