Illusione H-Town Lancero On Its Way

pre-Sandanista Joya de Nicaragua flavor profile-
I smoked a pile of those. They were amazing cigars. Shit hit the fan and they dried up. Then I found several boxes in an old cigar store. Bought every one.

Bill, trust in Danno!

I consider it ironic that Illusione is one of the few cigar brands NOT trying to be "Cubanesqe"-- Dion originally set out to recreate the pre-Sandanista Joya de Nicaragua flavor profile-- yet he NAILS the floral & olfactory aspects in a way that I only taste in Habanos.

Bill, PM me your addy and I'll hit you up with some Illusiones, particularly some narrow-ring Epernays, next week. They will not supplant Habanos as you go-tos, but I think you'll find them likable.
Thanks Barry, I appreciate it brother! PM incoming...

Sort of like, I can't get a main Lobster, so shrimp will have to do. Enjoy both, but Lobster would win every time.

Sticking with the comparison to food, the flavor and overall experience of an Illusione just "hits the spot". Kind of like street tacos...I'm always in the mood to have one, they are one of my life's great pleasures. But my tastes run the spectrum, and sometimes I need some braised shortribs or foie gras...some of my prize RA coronas or a potent Tatuaje. Very few smokes have a blast of floral, woody, lightly peppery flavor in those first couple of puffs that just hit me right in the zone like an Illusione.

I was heading over there to grab a box. Got about 2 miles from the house and some jackass decided to run his light and t-boned my truck. :(

Good lord, hope your ok Steve. Was he starting the new year festivities early?

Good lord, are you alright? Sadly, New Year's Eve is usually Alcoholics Amateur Hour.

Thanks for your concern, guys. I appreciate it.

I'm fine, truck will need some serious body work and a new back tire at a minimum. No telling if there's hidden damage.

I still plan to go grab some of these sticks. They have an emotional attachment now.

Looks like the back wheel is bent out of whack. Glad to hear you are all good.

Thank goodness you're not hurt. Good thing that you're aware of hidden damage. Insurance and body shops pretty much suck at identifying that. Be vigilant.

Shit Scap, glad noone got hurt.

I picked up three boxes at Stogies today. For those interested in a 5-er, I will post a box split thread in the buy/sell/trade forum and link it here.

Thanks, man. I appreciate it.

Aww dang, they were open today????
I'm going to see if the wife will drive me over there tomorrow.

I drove her car for about 10 miles today, almost got in another wreck, so I'm gonna let her chauffeur me until this black cloud lifts. ;)
